Hi Y'all,
Time flies when you are having snow!. Hope everyone made it through it ok. It's already time for our next meeting. It was suggested at the last meeting when we were doing hearts before Valentines day that we follow the holiday theme do a leprechaun for St Patrick's Day. And of course I said COOL.
Supply list:
Clay in Flesh color, green, hair color (I mixed copper and orange),white, black, gold
You regular clay kit (work surface, pasta machine, blades, wipes...)
tooth picks or skewers
knitting needles and/or rubber tipped clay sculpting tools
Liquid polymer clay
medium paintbrush to use in liquid polymer
tiny paint brush for eyes and lips
aluminum foil (cheap is better)
I will be bringing molds (face, hands and feet) for anyone that is not comfortable sculpting.
I also have pre-baked eyeballs and will bring acrylic paint for eyes and lips.
OUR NEXT MEETING
We meet on a Zoom platform the 4th Saturday of the month at 12 noon. Meet & greet starts at 11:30am. Due to the Holidays there is no Zoom meeting in November. December we meet the second Saturday in December. We will post if a meeting is cancelled. We also have a Queen City Clayers Facebook page. Guild members have access to the Facebook guild group.

New Gadget added!
First of all I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! To start this year off, I have added a New Gadget! If you go to our blogspot site look to the top right side there is now a spot you can add your email address and you will start getting any Post from our Blog sent directly to your email! YES, I finally got this done.
Also I hope everyone had a great Holiday season and is ready to start with renewed vigor a new Clay project. On that note, Maggie and me have a challenge for all of you coming to the January meeting this month. We'd like you to make a Polymer Clay Heart. It can be in any form. (Cane, sculpted, etc). We are hoping this will help everyone get their creative ideas moving in time for the Valentine's Day. Please bring you Heart to the meeting and give a brief explanation on how you designed it. I guess we will call this our first interactive Demo for the meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone and their Art creations on January 25th.
Also, I need your help, please think about what type of Polymer Clay techniques or projects you'd like to do or see Demo'd this year. So we can make our meeting fun and interactive for everyone.

Hi Y'all,
Hope you all had a great thanksgiving. We are meeting on December 14th this month. Unless anyone wants to volunteer to do the demo (or already has and I forgot)I was thinking about snowflakes 3 ways as a theme. Simple, seasonal and could be used for earrings, pendants and decorations. Also a good excuse to use glitter!;)). Let me know is you are attending.
Thanks,
Maggie
