supply list for meeting

Hi Y'all,
I'm making dragons this Saturday!  Here are the supplies: Your regular clay kit (pasta machine, clay blades, work surface, hand wipes),  at least 1 pack of main color and about 1/2 to 3/4 packs of the accent colors of dragon color clay(the amount depends on how big you want your dragon) aluminum foil, floral tape, clay shaping tools if you have them. Beads or crystals for eyes.  Don't worry if you don't have everything (except the clay)  I'll have enough of the other stuff to share.  Oh and a little  scrap clay and small assorted sized ball stylis, if you have them, to make a cool tool.
I think that's all.
See Ya there,
Maggie

June Meeting date changed to 29th

Hello Clayers,
We will need to change the date for this months meeting to the 29th. Please send an e-mail to Maggie or myself to let us know you are aware of the date change. We want to make sure everyone is aware of the change.  I am sorry for inconvenience this may cause anyone.
Maggie will be teaching us how to sculpt her dragons. She will post the supply list closer to the time of the meeting.
 Thank you,
Cheryl

Julie will be doing our demo.  She said: You will need blue, white, black and a little bit of orange. You will need a light bulb, can or something to curve pendant over if you want it curved. A pin back if you want to make it into a pin. And the usual stuff.
It should be lots of fun.
See you there.
Maggie

March Meeting Reposted

March 16th Meeting Reposted (somehow it was removed, unbeknownest to me how!)
Cheryl at Queen City Clayers - 1 month ago

Hello everyone, This month we are going to be covering pens with a monochromatic Bargello technique using the info. provided by Christine Michel, in the magazine; From Polymer to Art "Pink". Here is a picture. http://www.flickr.com/photos/edelchen/7972585326/in/pool-frompolymertoart/ Even though we are going to Demo a Bargello technique, when decorating a polymer clay pen there are unlimited possibilities. You can even add a stand, and a little something extra. * Just Google *Polymer Clay Pens and you'll see a plethora of ideas, pictures and how to Tutorials.

Saturday's Demo

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to add some info. about the demo we are working on this Saturday.  Please  if you are using the reformulated Premo, please condition and leach the clay if it is to sticky. This bracelet cuff uses the Donna Kato "replacement technique" and if the clay is too sticky the shapes will to sticky and become distorted. Believe me, I know, re-working Demo step outs now and leaching my clay for the Demo, too sticky.
It is recommended to use Kato or Fimo that has already been conditioned and not sticky.
Oh,an addition to the supply list; if you have deli paper sheets or parchement paper bring a least 2-4 sheets 8x8 or so. This is used to smooth the PC after the replacement technique.
Ok, I think that about wraps it up. See ya on Saturday.
Cheryl
